ABRACS EXPERT SDS+ MASONRY DRILL BITS. PERFORMANCE? THE EVIDENCE IS CONCRETE.

ABRACS EXPERT SDS+ MASONRY DRILL BITS. PERFORMANCE? THE EVIDENCE IS CONCRETE.

Introducing the BRAND NEW range of Abracs SDS+ Masonry Drill Bits, making light work of heavy duty materials such as concrete, bricks and stone. With a tungsten carbide tip and precision ground flute, these Drill Bits are something worth shouting about.

The tungsten carbide tip centres the drill bit ensuring accuracy and preventing skidding when cutting into the surface of the desired material, resulting in greater productivity and cleaner holes. The bits hardened steel body reduces the chance of breakages means these products can go harder for longer.

The ‘Slotted Drive System’ (SDS) means the drill bits have slots at the end of the shank that fit into the chuck of an SDS+ drill. These slots (indentations) in the shank allow the bit to be thrust forward by the hammer action of the drill, whilst still being retained due to two sprung ball bearings that lie in the slots of the drill bit. The slots on these bits allow an amount of back and forth and this, along with the smooth ball bearings, increases the strength of the hammer action. All of this means there is no need to lean in hard on the drill to get it to work efficiently. The hammer action is sufficient without the need to apply a large amount of pressure, allowing the drill to do the hard work so you don’t have to.

Efficiency is key with these drill bits. With a precision ground dual flute, these bits quickly and efficiently remove any dust and debris from the hole, enabling faster cutting speeds, cleaner holes and less chance of snagging.

Once again, Bruce Bellinger our Resident Product Tester, took these products into the Abracs Test Zone to check out just how good they are. “I tested the Abracs SDS+ Drill Bits against 7 others and definitely wasn’t let down with the results. Drilling 60 holes with each testing the speed, durability and wear rate in Supreme Concrete Padstone. Our bit was the fastest of the eight all the way up throughout. It also had extremely slow wear rate, drilling perfect straight holes with minimal vibration and good dust extraction, compared to some that clogged, wobbled and some that didn’t make it to the sixtieth hole.”

Brand new for 2018, the range spans from 5-14mm diameter and 110-450mm length, with a 7pc set also available, meaning we definitely have the right bit for you to get the job done.
